We as a nation are experiencing the Cougar Phenom… So let’s get right at it; Check it…
“Cougars” are older women who pay younger men to have sex with them… It is not uncommon for a young hot stud to have more than one cougar which entitles him to cars, houses, and cold hard cash… Now I am not an old hater, just a hater… Either way, Culturally Speaking, there is nothing new in this new phenom except that women today outrank men in the job market and have more disposable money for this social recreation…
Now who does this effect???
Well, since women in most places out number men by five to one, men for the most part are not effected, there are plenty fish in the sea… So then who is getting the “Short-end of this Culturally -Social Shaft??? Well ladies, it is the young woman from “the age of 18 to the age of Cougar” that is losing out here… What am I talking about??? Essence has done several articles on the subject and the understanding that the “Black Cougar” is the new social phenom in the black community… The fact are, according to Essence stated, “ ”only 1 in 3 “Black women” will ever get married…”

That is staggering …
Men are becoming a commodity, especially young six-pack racking studs… That’s where the cougars are coming in to upset the natural flow of things and eatting these young studs up… So how is this possible when “the young hot bootie-licious fully developed hot black sista” has everything a young stud should want and more??? Why is that these young “Black Panthers” can’t get a man… Well there are several reason and they all begin with ”Green…” It is simple, the cougars are paying these young boys to perform and be their trophy piece.

Let’s make no mistake, these young men are naturally fit and full of stamina, if you know what I mean… So in these tough economical times, it is a tastie treat for the young men to cater to a cough instead of having to man-up to be with a black panther… The cougar will give these young studs everything he want; where as with the young black panther he has to be a man a bring home the bacon, instead of being the bacon…
SO when the young black panther starts to complain about virturally anything, the young black stud kicks off into her ass and then retreats back to the couger for comfort…

5-And most importantly, “Your lick you up and down until you say stop,” never, never, never have “Cougar Breath…” Then you got a man…
But (big phat cougar breath but in the room) the Cougars are snatching up every “young six-pack packing black stud” under the age of 35 they can get their money filled hands on… The consequence: You “young hot sexy tight black panthers” are losing and the question is why??? It is simple, the cougars have set you panthers up for failure because the Cougars made up the rules that the panthers are living by… And the panthers are wondering what is really going on…
So you “young hot sexy cool bootyliscious black panthers” had better “woman-up” or as Essence put it, you will be alone until you yourself becomes a “Cougar” too…

Culturally Speaking; this “Cougar Phenom” is not new and has been the fall of all the modern civilization from Rome to Kemet… When the natural order of things are set asside - the end result is destruction… A young panther can’t look forward to marrying and raising family; instead she settles for having children out of wedlock which fragments our already fragile community even further…

The solution is for “Black Panthers” reverse this Phenom on the Cougars… THe black Panthers who fall into his hopeless statistic of never marrying a young black stud, will have to seduce and marry men 20 and 30 years their senior… Culturally Speaking; this has been going on for years but (big phat it is time to turn the tide but in the room) if the young black panther want to marry and raise a proper family - this is the answer… This is also the solution to our single parent family crisis which is the major cause of our fragmented community… Lastly, this is also the solution to changing to mindset of “Cougars…” Cougars rely on the gap in society to play both sides of the fence… They play these young guys while being supported by these old guys who either keeps them employed or dies leaving them wealthy… Then the cougar become social irresponsible thus the “Cougar Phenom…”

This is really some exciting stuff...
Let's get right to it...
The people of the Gulf have been intoxicated on "Big Oil" for years and as soon as the still spills they immediately go through the "DT's..." Wow... These people have a chemical dependency on the "Big Oil" like no where else in a America save Texas... And true to form, with the onset of withdrawal symptoms, comes the "craving" for "Big Oil" and their body is telling them that it "needs" more "Big Oil." As the physical symptoms of withdrawal begin to increase, taking another drink simply is the only thing that will satisfy them...
Wow... They get sicker and sicker as they watch all that "Big Oil" wash up on their coast instead of in great big drums so they can suck it up with a straw... Some of the symptoms are "mild" such as uncontrollable shakes, and sweats -- or perhaps nausea, headache, anxiety, a rapid heart beat, and increased blood pressure...
However, within six to 56 days after not drinking "Big Oil," hallucinations develop... They begin to see, taste, and smell "Big Oil" hallucinations which can last for weeks, months, or even years... Now after so many weeks of their precious "Big Oil" spilling on the beach, the people of the Gulf symptoms have progress into delirium tremens (DT's)... They are experiencing profound confusion, disorientation, hallucinations, hyperactivity, and extreme cardiovascular disturbances; to name a few...

Now the Pres. is down their to assess their situation and he will find out very soon that short of giving them a really big drink of "Big Oil" there will be nothing he can say or do to change their symptoms... The Pres. is not the "HMIC" (Head Maid In Charge), therefore grab a rag and start cleaning up... Besides, you are not the only situation happening in these UNited States - there are people dying in flood waters in Tenn, Ark, and Ok... I don't hear them complaining to the Pres. come down here and mop up this water... They are doing like American have done for centuries - roll up their sleeve and get to work...
You "Spoilled Gulf Big Oil Bibbers" save 11 are not dying from your addiction... So, get a grip... The Pres. is going to make sure that "BP" cough up enough money for all your medication so you can get a substitute for your addiction... Snoop you might want to buy up a huge supply, these "Gulf Gulppers" are some heavy users... Dahhhhhh!!!!

"And who ruined the tourist industry on the Gulf beaches???" - The Gulf Gulppers by screaming "OMG the Spill - the Spill..." Crap you scared the Gulf going beach urge out of me... It wasn't until I saw the Pres. second visit down there on CNN that I realized that there was no "Big Oil" to mention washing up on the beach... See there goes those Hallucinations again... The Gov. of Miss. is not as addicted because he said from the getty-up, "Our beaches are clean- come to Ole Miss..."

Now if you "Big Oil Addicts" were smart, you would take your boats out there and suck up all the oil you could then sell it on the open market... No one owns that oil floating on the water... You should start a "Big Oil Black gold Rush..." Force the Government to buy it from you as recycled oil, like I do with recycled cans... Now that is what you do with "Spilled Oil..."

I am a golf fan because of Tiger...
Now this Stuff with "Billie Pain" is a real joke...
If this had come from the Pope at the Vatican it might be creditable but (first big phat but in the room) coming from Mr. Pain on the grounds of the one of the most discriminating place on the planet (The Masters) all I can say is, "Bullshit!!!"

No one forces anyone to watch him play golf...
No one in their right mind will put any man or woman above God as being perfect...

Culturally speaking, most people that do great things in life give to those less fortunate than themself even thou they don't have too... I believe Sean is doing just that... Sean is on the ground in Haiti making a difference by exposing the lack of action on the ground by the "Aid Agencies" that we have so graceously given too... I believe it is a travisty that those funds have not gotten to those who so desperately need them right now (sooner than later)...
I heard Sean say tonight on CNN that "everyone know that the rain is coming..." Many Haitians are going to die without the necessary funds to address this tragic situation... I agree with Mr. Penn because I have been working to reach "Yele.org" and many other agencies to propose the use of "Shipping Containers" as a sustainable housing solution for the Haitian people... This is not new technology... I am presently a student at NC A&T SU in the construction management dept. where we have exploded this technology as a mean of providing the necessary housing for all people (Especially Haiti) that are homeless because of a natural disaster... It is our desire to use this proven technology in Haiti because of it's many benefits...
To name a few:
1 - first and foremost containers are earthquake proof,
2 - according to an ongoing study called "SEED" there are already 70,000 surplus shipping containers rotting on the docks of Porta Prince as I write therefore not transportation cost,
3 - I believe the most important benefit is the containers ability to provide personal security and protection from the elements...
It is the last benefit that no one is talking about... Because of the lack of government in Haiti right now many women are left vulnerable to nightly sexual assault, kidnapping, and trafficking... Tents do not provide protection against sexual assault or physical protection for children... This is why Sean's work on the ground is so important... I believe that he is using his celebrity to get the press to put all these agencies (lack of action) on "Blast!!!" I have communicated our ideas with the TJMS and have received positive response from TJ... I hope that other black radio stations will began to put these agencies on "Blast" to jolt them into action... I hope that we also can get agencies like the "Bill Clinton foundation" and Yele.org, to name a few, to take a look at our proposal to use shipping containers as immediate sustainable green housing for disaster relief... {My contact info:John at jajacobs@ncat.edu}...

Lets take care of some "Cultural Acknowledgements" first... It looks like the Academy Awards have finally recognized great acting whatever the color of the actor... There was a lot of color on that stage this weekend... I am happy to see that the color lines have all been broken hopefully for good...

How is it that the Dems have a "Super Majority" and "Can't pass gas..." This is some exciting stuff...
Let me start off by saying hats off to TJMS - The Roland Martin segment... I could not pull myself away from the radio this morning as "Roland" did what he does best - "Preach-da-Politics!!!" It was a historical short dialogue that I hope is released as a "wake-up" call to all of US(A)... I have asked the question, "Who will pick up the torch and answer the call to action to effectively move "Civil Rights" into the 21st century..."
It sound like "Roland" has the conviction to do just that.... Roland answered the call with that awesome "call to action" this morning on the TJMS by urging all of US (A) to say as he has, "Here am I, send me..."
As Sybil so appropriately said at his conclusion, "Let the church say, Amen!!!"

Hats off to NBC for balancing out the coverage of African-American competitors in the Vancouver Winter Olympics... I was surprized but (first big - you go girl but in the room) elated to see Little Ms. Cheltzie Lee (16) who is skating for Australian... Little Ms. Lee took full advantage on Tuesday night, showing no nerves to finish the night in 18th spot with a score of 52.16 points - her best ever...
Culturally Speaking, we have seen African-Americans on the ice before but (another big phat you go girl but in the room) with such a warm welcome in the past... I hope the stigma that black people don't ice skate is gone for good now... Ok, I hear you talking... I know she is skating for the Australian team but (big phat she is an African-American but in the room) she is an African-American and Chinese...

This is some exciting stuff...
There are several "Cultural controversies" on the horizon, so let tackle them on at a time...
Check It:
Shani Davis is the "Jesse Owens" of the winter olympics whether NBC gives him the red light or not... Shani eased into the history books by not only being the first American to win two golds in the his event; he is the first African-American to win any medal in the winter olympics...
Now that's a "BIG WOW!!!"
I hope the so black radio shows ( who are the only voice in the black community) will give this great man his props...
We will see...
One quick note... Culturally Speaking, slavery has caused black to be jealous and non appreciative of the successes of fellow black in our community... Unlike all other races who praise the success of their own freely without any jealousy... This is something that we as a people must get out of our D-N-A... Culturally, it is not apart of our roots... We as a person are loving, caring, and sharing... It has been the horrors of slavery that caused us to be so selfish... So Tiger is going to speak out today after being silent for three months... Culturally Speaking, for most in the black community, Tiger spoke out loud and clear when he married a nannie from "who knows where" years ago... That said, "Tiger really does not have to apologize to no-one as a result of his actions..." Actually, as one of the great athletes said, "Everyone figured that the billionaire athlete was screwing like a maniac from the git-go..." I guess the only surprize here is that his wife was surprized at this revelation... It seems that she was the only one with her head in the sand or is there something else behind her missing in action behavior...
Well, Let's break it down...
Wow, did you know that Elin was an Identical Twin...
If anyone knows anything about identicals (and I should because I am an Identical twin) they are often closer than anyone can imagine... They cover for each other to death and will switch places with each other even with their romantic encounters... So was Tiger always with Elin or were there times when he was with her twin and did not have a clue... Ok, I can hear you talking, but (big fat food for thought but in the room) that is the only explanation that can explain why it was that she, Elin-Twin-Elin, did not have a clue of her husbands many affairs... And guess what; there is no way Tiger would have known except by her behavior... Twins can act just like each other but (big phat they can not act forever) they are not each other... Also Identicals have the same D-N-A which mean that Elin-1 could have had the first child and Elin-2 could have had the second baby; with both babies being genetically brothers and sisters...

Tiger could take a line from three really smart people's play books: Ms. O, The Don, and David Letterman... "Ms O" made this comment on her show recently (not necessarily referring to Tiger), "The one with the gold rules..." The Don said this on Larry King when asked about the Tiger situation, "Maybe Tiger should be the bad guy for a while..." Larry King even had on the ultimate "Bad Boy - Rodman" as an example of what the a bad-boy looks likes like... And lastly, David Letterman said last night, "Tiger has a little ways to go to catch up with him in apologies..."

Ok, enough of all these "Cultural Controversies..." The Toyota fiasco is very serious but (big phat Pres. Obama but in the room) Pres. Obama is in the "Driver's Seat" of a "Run Away" Congress!!!" Wow... This is some really serious stuff... So what is the Pres to do??? Well, he could take a line from the Toyota's "New" owner's manual, "Press on the Brakes really hard, Shift to neutral, and turn it off..." I believe that is some good advice... I aint no "Economist" but (big phat average john but in the room) I am a scientist of observation and to me the solution is just that simple... Let's break it down...
Mr. Pres., to stop the run away Congress, you must first put on the brakes... What do I mean by this... The do nothing congress is out of control therefore you must use your executive powers to get them back in line... "Put the brakes on!!!"
The next thing you should do is "Shift-to-neutral!!!"
As the President of the Of These United States you should take a more neutral position and neutralize the congress by exerting the all the powers of your office... One thing you can do is use the government that already exist to drive down prices across the spectrum...
The private sector is out of control because there is no competition out there... The government should be the competition for all the suffering poor people out here...

If Walmart can buy cheap drugs then so can the government... During the Depression, the government supplied the needs of those that could not provide them for themselves... My aunt had a "county-pin" which her family received from the "government health dept" during the depression... And speaking of the "Health Dept.;" it is the heath dept. where we all when for cheap medical help and it is the health dept where all poor people and immigrants should go today... The government can fund the health dept. and drive medical cost down... Why is every one and their brother on medicare??? In Europe they have the equivalent of the Health Dept. and the party of "No" calls it socialism... I call it health assurance (no mis-spell)... This is the best way to drive health cost down and cause the private sector to listen... It
The next thing is to drive fuel cost down... Mr. Pres. you can do this the same way - by doing what the DOD does in Europe for American citizen - "sell fuel vouchers..." I lived in Germany for several years and fuel on the economy for over four dollars a gallon... I could by vouchers to use at the pump which reduced the cost down to less than a dollar... Everything in our economy is inflated... Mr. Pres. you can deflate this over-flated economy by turn off the vehicle... Everyone who want to continue using the private sector and can afford it will... For all of us who cannot afford the convenience of doing that will have to use the government system...

"Pres. Obama: "Who is "Shani Davis???"""
Wow...
This is some exciting stuff and it keep getting more exciting everyday...
Let me start with a "Cultural Controversy" that could have a big adverse effect on the black community...
Pres. Obama; "To "Breastfeed" or not to "Breastfeed;" that is the question???""
Is the problem with families in the black community, "A black woman thang???" I was listening to the TJMS this morning when my "frat bro" - Roland Martin - rehashed a dialogue with a Doctor from yesterday's show... The Doc. basically said, it is very beneficial for black women to breastfeed our black children. The Doc. pointed out that there were some great health benefits for the black women and our children... Apparently this segment got a lot of press yesterday, so Roland brought the Doc. back to answer more questions today...
It was a very informative segment but (first big - could black women be the problem with the decay of the black family - but in the room) Sybil was obviously disturbed by the Doc.'s recommendation... It seem that she was upset that the Doc. was trying to give good health advise to our community that could improve the life of our children as well as black women themselves... I found this very disturbing... It is a trend that occurs whenever black women are asked to do what only a woman can do for our community...
"Are black women the problem with the decay in the black community??? "
Wow...
Culturally Speaking, Black women breastfed their children of birth as well as many other children throughout history... There is a very familiar scripture in the bible that says after Ruth gave birth, "And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it..."
The act of breastfeeding was once the most precious gift a woman could give to her children; which made us strong and healthy... As blacks struggled to overcome racism, it was the black woman who made a home a sanctuary for her family... She took pride in feeding the entire family and sometimes the neighborhood... So why are so many black women becoming so hardened against the act of breastfeeding; when it is something only they can do ???
Hummmmm???
I listen to black women bash black men for all the negatives that they and society often times unjustly hurl at us... This Doc. made the case that if black women would breastfeed - our children would get benefits - that could alleviate a lot of the health risk which greatly affect our community today... The Doc. also made the point, that breastfeeding reduces the chance of the black mother experiencing postpartum depression among other things... One objection that Sybil brought up was "sagging breast..." The Doc. quickly dismissed this point by pointing out that women who have "never" breastfed have sagging breast... The question is what is more important - "the health of our children or sagging breast???" I have often noticed that the black community has had an increase of youth that are taking on a homosexual lifestyle... Could this "phenom" actually be a result of the fact that black women don't breastfeed our children and our children are not getting the "nectar of the Gods" that only she can deliver... Also could the high rate of black juvenile diabetes and juvenile obesity be a direct result of black women not breast-feeding our children???
"God forbid..."
I met a young black woman in the dentist office a few years back - yes that is how long it has been since I have seen a black woman who breastfed... This beautiful young black woman was sounding the "joys" of breastfeeding to all in the office... She said that this was the one gift that only she could give to her child... The other black women in the office were making comments like; "I don't know how you do it, doesn't it hurt, and what does your husband think about it..." She smiled and said, "my husband loves it..." She then said, "besides we use to breastfeed because it was what women did in our community and we knew it was best for our children???" The other women agreed but (a big I know you are right but in the room) still did not seem to like the idea...
This is a crucial issue...
Has our newly acquired civil rights as a people caused us to turn our backs on the very things that made us strong...
Hummmmmmmmmm!!!
So "have black women dropped the ball again" in our community???
Who truly knows, but (big phat what we do know but in the room) we do know that "breast-r-best" for our children and our community...

How is it that this young superstar athlete is the winter olympics "Invisible Man???" Shani Davis is the "Jesse Owens" of the Winter Olympics... An article in the New York Times entitled: ..."The Trailblazer - Shani Davis, on the Edge;" makes the case that Shani Davis is the quintessential man when it comes to "speed skating and perfection" on the ice... A quote from this article highlights one of Shani's fans appreciation of his achievements:
"A young Canadian skater, Anastasia Bucsis, stood at the turn with a cluster of competitors, all of them watching intently as Davis blew by. I asked what in particular she was focused on. “Everything,” she said. “Shani is the prototype. He’s as efficient as it is humanly possible to be.”

I aint feeling this kind "selective of coverage" of the Winter Olympics by NBC... I, among many other, want to see this modern-day "Jesse Owens" compete...

You know I like to keep it interesting... The Doc. on the TJMS suggested that the honorable first lady - Michelle Obama - could use her position to promote "Breastfeeding" in the black community... I feel that is an issue that has great baring on the Health insurance package... The Doc. pointed out that the "simple act of Breastfeeding" could single-handedly alleviate several diseases that are on the rise in the black community... As an advocate for reducing the high cost of health care for all Americans through preventative medicine, one would think that the first lady would make this topic a top priority on her list of things to implement...

I believe that this is just the kind of language that the Reps would love to hear from the Obama Camp... This kind of language would make their point that Pres. obama is a one-sided President who is not for all the citizens of America... Besides, this isn't who Pres. Obama is - it sound so out of character for the President...

I believe Roland should use this incredible spotlight to rally "people of color" to do more in our own community for our own, so that whatever the government contributes is an added plus... That is just my spill on the matter...

I believe that Pres. Obama should

Teddy's motto was "Speak softly and carry a big stick"....
Now this is more of Pres. Obama's style...
Culturally speaking, few black people in power are able to govern without at some point using the "ghetto style" behavior... It is always expected by the other side to see how long a brother can go before he forgets and regress... Pres. Obama has built his political career based upon his color-blind approach to everything he does...
This is a large part of his appeal...
Therefore, I am sure Pres. Obama will not go "Gangsta" on anyone, especially not the GOP... One thing is for sure, that Pres. Obama is no push over... One thing about being President is that you get to see things from a very high perch...
So, yes Pres. Obama has to get tougher on the entire Congress and especially the DEMS,
but (Big phat "NO - NO" but in the room) Going Gangsta" is not the answer...

Actually I would have perferred to hear Roland tell us more about what went on at the "White House" yesterday with the meeting between Pres. Obama and the "Civil Rights leaders..." I am sure we all want to know what the President is going to do about the massive unemployment in the black community...
I believe Roland should use this incredible spotlight to rally "people of color" to do more in our own community for our own, so that whatever the government contributes is an added plus... That is just my spill on the matter...

I believe that Pres. Obama should
"Go Roosevelt" on the "GOP..."
I am sure we all are familiar with the tenacity and vigor that Teddy governed with...
Teddy's motto was "Speak softly and carry a big stick"....
Now this is more of Pres. Obama's style...
Culturally speaking, few black people in power are able to govern without at some point using the "ghetto style" behavior... It is always expected by the other side to see how long a brother can go before he forgets and regress... Pres. Obama has built his political career based upon his color-blind approach to everything he does...
This is a large part of his appeal...
Therefore, I am sure Pres. Obama will not go "Gangsta" on anyone, especially not the GOP... One thing is for sure, that Pres. Obama is no push over... One thing about being President is that you get to see things from a very high perch...
So, yes Pres. Obama has to get tougher on the entire Congress and especially the DEMS,
but (Big phat "NO - NO" but in the room) Going Gangsta" is not the answer...

This stuff just keeps getting more and more exciting everyday… Let me start by saying, “Hats off to Pres. Obama” on many fronts: 1- Openly speaking to the Republican Party on Friday… Opsss, the cat is out of the bag now… I guess those guys can’t “throw a rock and hide a hand” any more…
2-His speaking openly to the Democratic Party today… Now these guys will have to explain to all of us how is it that you are the majority and can’t get anything done… Dahhhhhhh???
3-The way he and his administration have handled the “Christmas Day Terrorist Bombing” Suspect… It appears that by interrogation him in a civilian court and encouraging his family to take part, it has been very effective in getting valuable information to divert any future attacks…
For all your great work Mr. Pres., we say, “Bravo!!!”

“Malveaux said it is the job of her generation and those who consider themselves to be ”Elders” to reinforce the notion of Audacity.”
Wow… This is some great stuff… What made this statement so powerful was the fact that her fellow panelist were the Rev. Jesse Jackson of Rainbow Push, Dr. Ben Chavis - CEO of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), Dr. Harold Martin – Chancellor of NC A&T SU, and Ms Kim Sanders – CEO of M&F Bancorp Inc…
An Elder States-lady, Mrs. Anna Swanston - the author of Dr. John Henry Clarke: His Life, His Words, His Work – said to me a few years ago that the civil rights struggle is not over; it’s just that it’s “Elders” are asleep… At the time I could not get a grip of this profound statement… Dr. Malveaux has a similar understanding of the state of civil rights… Unlike those who started the movement, today’s so-called elders lack true passion and commitment to the cause of total civil rights… Culturally Speaking, when a people struggle for their rights of equality often are side tracked by the “dainties” of the king instead of the entire “Kitchen…”
Dr. Malveaux's statement shines a very bright light onto several members of the Panel… I believe that panelist like Dr. Ben Chavis should be one of those “Elders” she was referring to… I believe Dr. Chavis could not only make great speeches but (first big phat but in the room) could use his influence to rally the “hip hop and black athletic community” to start a “black economical venture explosion…” We as a people can no longer blame “White” people for the lack of economical opportunities in our community when for at least a decade “Millions of dollars” have flowed freely into these communities that has not found their way down to the rest of us… Ok, I can hear you yelling… I am not saying that they should give their money away, but (big phat trickle down business opportunity but in the room) together they can create a “Black Wall Street…” Dahhhhhhhhhh!!!

I wrote a blog called “The Audacity of the House Niggers!!!” This blog was about this very issue… How the elders of the civil rights movement are not stepping up to the plate to “knock” we as a people in… The same goes for the Rev. Jesse Jackson who said, “Jackson closed out the discussion reminding the audience to become knowledgeable for themselves…” What the hell did that mean??? Here we have a true “Elder Civil Rights leader” who seems to be so disconnected with the needs of our community that he says would something as “valueless” as that… I am sure we all remember what Rev. Jackson said during the “Obama” campaign… Need I say more???
If this is the generation following “generation X,” who no one would dispute, has not done must to further the cause of anything – much less civil rights… Then the question remains, is it because the Elders refuse to take their place, pass on the Knowledge learned, and commission new leaders into the struggle… These aint the sixties, these be the generation next…
This generation, like those before it, need for the elders to take their rightful place and do something “tangible” to encourage new frontiers in the civil right movement… I am sure everybody knows that the black community is in a domestic crisis… Domestically we as a people have the most single parent families in the nation… This has a direct reflection on our children who suffer from a lack of confidence, high crime involvement, and most cases – poor life chances…
Also we as a people own very little to no real estate… This is a real problem for our community… True power is ownership and I don’t mean just a personal resident… We need to fight for ownership of hotels and gas stations and restaurants like we did forty years ago… This is a true domestic crisis…
So the need of our elders to get actively involve is – Paramount…
Dr. Malveaux – we as a people “salute” you and your efforts as an elder to this generation… I hope that many other civil rights elders will wake up and take their rightful place to fill the void in our communities…

Jackson to get tangibly effectively involved… I am sure that all the graduates from the HBCU’s all across this country would appreciate a job from a “black small business” that is Funded by a black organization called “Black Wall Street…” So if the Rev Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH, teams up with Dr. Chavis – Hip Hop Summit – then maybe this could happen…

"Pres. Obama: No More "Mr. Nice Guy!!!""
Wow...
This present political environment is some very exciting stuff... :)
Let me say that Pres. Obama did what he does best as he presented the "State of The Union" address - "Turned on the Charm!!!"
He gave me that "warm and fuzzy" feeling again...
Man that really did feel good...
Check it: From the sound of Pres. Obama tone he has taken up a new lease on life - "No more Mr. nice guy!!!"
Culturally Speaking, Pres. Obama is a "Come lately" but (first big but in the room) like LBJ - better late than never!!!
The first example his new lease was seen with his starch rebuke of the Supreme Court Justices on the Campaign finance ruling lately...
The quote from the speech:
This type of open rebuke is the number one trait of a true leader... Pres. Obama has tried to be too much liked by both sides even to his own detriment... Now he has finally realized that he will never satisfy everyone all the time so "
Lead he must do!!!"
Pres. Obama does not have the be an "Apologetic Bipartisan Unifier" for history's sake because history is own his side... He only has to do as all those that came before him do the job "We as people" voting him in to do... What is that job - take care of all of US(A) as he would his own...
That is pretty simple...
Yes, it is going to be hard but (another big but in the room) he is the man up for the challenge...

When Thom asked her "what is the more he should do?" she had no answer... Wow... Roland Martin talked with William Darity, Arts & Sciences Professor of Public Policy, Professor of African and African-American Studies and Economics and Secondary Appointment of Economics at Duke University, about what the Pres. should do to turn this economy around... Dr. Darity's answer was the best answer I have heard from anyone on this subject which I hope the Pres. heard... Dr. Darity said that the President should implement a government funded work program for all Americans...
This is what I need as an American citizen, a guaranteed government job...

"Pres. Obama: The Audacity of "Careful Urgency!!!""
Wow...
This is some great stuff...
Let's get right at it...
So now is the day for the State of the Union" address by this First African American President in the History of this country... History is on this "black man's" side because he is charting new territory and I think he gets that... The one thing that is most important for his speech tonight is his honesty to "We the People!!!" That is the one virtue that made Obama the candidate the perferred choice over all the rest - we the people believed him... Ok he has not be able to deliver on several of the promises he put forth in the campaign and there are several reasons why, but Pres. Obama must let US(A) feel that he has worked tirelessly trying to do the peoples business...
Wow...
Culturally Speaking, Charles Shultz once used the phrase "Careful Urgency" to describe the situation we faced as a nation in the early Nuclear buildup of nation... I believe this phrase is very applicable now as a result of the economic situation we are in presently... Pres. Obama came into this office with this understanding thus the mantra - "Yes We Can!!!" He must remind the American people not to think like "Humpty Dumpy" because no one can do anything by ones self it always takes the help of someone else...
He must get US(A) all back to the "Yes We Can" feeling of the "Audacity of Hope and Virtue..."
This is what cause all of us to believe that we could change our nation for the better... Pres. Obama must remind US(A) that now it is the "Audacity of Carefull Urgency" that will get US(A) through this - And through this we will...

"Pres. Obama: "Meet the Browns!!!""
Wow...
This is some exciting stuff...
Let's get right at it... First please allow me to say that CNN has done an excellent job with round the clock coverage of the "Haiti crisis... " Even Solidad found her "Soul Sista" in this story... I know it had to be very hard to report this kind of human suffering and dismay, but ( first big phat but in the room) your staff did it with excellence and grace... For this CNN, "We Salute you!!!" Now get Anderson out of there... He deserves some "R&R" at a ski lodge in Colorado... :)
Secondly, how is it that all these "whiners" are stealling all the headlines when the true facts are that this nation is rebounding with leaps and bounds... Ok, lemme see; "SPoil Kids" get their way... God forbid... Pres. Obama when these spoil kids act out, put them in "Time out!!!" "We" the people of these United States of America, have a nation to re-build...
And thirdly, Mr. President, If I have said this once I have said it a thousand times - "Tax the Church..." Check it: The Churches of this nation are acting more like corporations and political groups than a sancuary, therefore they should pay taxes like all the rest of US(A)... The solution to all of our financial problem is the taxation of the church... The church is not doing it's job of taking care of the poor and homeless; so tax them and balance the budget... That's my take on it...

It really felt good to get that off my chest... So let's get to the most exciting news of the week... "Pres. Obama, "Meet the Browns..."" (No pun intended...) Let me say that it is always a good thing when new blood enters politics; you get tired of chewing on the same folks over and over again... The "Reps" are always trying to duplicate an "original..." It's sorta like bootleg DVD's... The cover always looks good but (big phat copyright infrang but in the room) the content is obstructed and mostly out of focus...
Mr. Brown has a lot to learn and I am sure you Mr. President will help him get off to a really good start... Where is Sarah when you need her...

So whats up with all the hating on the "Big Three" these days... It must be racism at it's highest peak... Our great nation has been run by old white men for centuries and no-one was hating... Now that the "Old White Boys' Club" has put US(A) on welfare we elect a black man and two old white women (big three) to get US(A) out; yet the "OWBC" members are hating...

Are they afraid that the majority of this nation will make them look bad so they got to be hating??? Or is it that they just would rather keep that "White House Nigger" in the "Field" and the two " old White Women" in "Kitchen???"

When "Bush" was in charge of the "OWBC," he got what he wanted by "hook or crook" and no-one was hating on him... By the way, that is why we are in the situation we are in now... Now that Pres. Obama - a black and two white female senior citizens are in charge we have race, age, and gender discrimination toward the "Big Three!!!" That should be a offence to every senior citizen, black, and female in the nation... I am not hating, just making an observation... We have only been through one year and racist right are calling a names...
Shame, shame, shame... It seems that the rest of the world understands the teasure we have in these three highly respected leaders and are willing to give them a fair break... Rightly so because between them there is more education in the room than most corporate boards... Cant say that about the last "OWBC" members...

Check it: The Churches of this nation are acting more like corporations and political groups than a sancuary, therefore they should pay taxes like all the rest of US(A)... The solution to all of our financial problem is the taxation of the church... The church is not doing it's job of taking care of the poor and homeless; so tax them and balance the budget... Let me say that it is always a good thing when new blood enters politics; you get tired of chewing on the same folks over and over again... The "Reps" are always trying to duplicate an "original..." It's sorta like bootleg DVD's... The cover always looks good but (big phat copyright infrang but in the room) the content is obstructed and mostly out of focus...

Secondly, Obama has really done a super job with the quake response... I believe that because he has been so out front on this event, lives were saved... To you Mr. President, we say, "Bravo!!!" It is now time for the Haitians to take charge of their situation as soon as possible...

Culturally Speaking, He has superceded most, if not all, of his predecessors...
Yes, there are wars, quakes, economical struggles, and terrorist at large on every hand but (wow, first big but in the room) "these still be some exciting times..." So today as I reflect on a hard troded year of a first term/first time African-American President, I reflect back to a day one year ago... I reflect because reflection is the evidence of what our expectations are built upon... So now today, one year later, where are we "Culturally???"
Culturally Speaking, we are better today than we were one year ago... I dare say that it is not for the "weak" to be the judge of a years' performance... No it is not even for the "strongest of the strong" to judge our advancement today... No, no - I say it is US(A) who carry that burden of passing judgement on a years' time of work...
Where have we come and from where are we destined to go... If the question leads us to reflect then we are in the right place ... If the question causes us to be disdained then we are "the we" who choose to be part of the problem rather the solution... If the answer to the question leads us to say, things have not change and hope has dwindled, then we are the strong and would see thing the same way regardless of its actual truths...
So "Culturally Speaking" we are better today than a year ago because we are "Conversing!!!" We are conversing with the left, the right, the old, the young, and all that don't look like we do... So as we reflect, let us ask ourselves a question: "what have we done to progress this nation to it's place of prosperity and nobility???"

As I listen to the speech of a year ago from the First African-American man to ever take the helm of this great nation as President; I say "We the people have not done enough..." We have not firmly grabbed hold of the "hope" that this energetic man so easy secure; "we must do more..." It is up to all of US(A) to stand up and be accounted for the "hopes and virtues" that we so easily proclaim that we believe in...
If one ask me how has Obama done in his first year in office, I would have to say that the man did what he said he would do in his inauguration speech... "What have we done- is the question???"
I still say to Pres. Obama these things:
Pres. Obama, let the "Nay-sayers - Nay!!!" Mr President, "let the "Whiners" whine... This nations, to some degree has lost it's soul and has become a nation of "Whiners!!!" I believe that LBJ respected MLK because MLK did not 'whine..." Men of WWI, WWII, and Viet Nom were not whiners but their babies are...
So Pres. Obama, stay the course... For history has record the plight of the likes of Christopher Columbus when all seem lost, he stayed the course...
Pres. Obama, keep the wind to your back... And when the winds die down and they will; keep your ship headed in the right direction... The winds will come again because they always do...
Pres. Obama, keep your eyes fixed on the goals which you layed out in your inaugural speech for that is the "hope and virtue" we are all looking for...

No-one can deny that President Obama stopped the bleeding and has stablized this patient - America... And most importantly, the patient has started to breath on her own; she has color back in her face; and by the grace of God, she will be up and running soon...

"Pres. Obama: The Audacity of "Skin Lightener" and a "Harvard Education!!!""

Check it: It appears that the Reps leadership has resorted to finger-pointing as an effective way to hedge up their weakened position against the Democratic controlled congress... I have one thing to say, "stick to "stonewalling" - it suit you better...
The book "Game Change," a behind-the-scenes chronicle of the 2008 campaign, said Reid had been "wowed" by Obama and said that the country was ready for a black President, especially one who was "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/01/10/gops-steele-calls-for-reid-to-step-down-as-leader-because-of-ra/
Senator Reid, in Pres. Obama words, probably "Acted Stupidly" but (a big Jim Crow-ley but in the room) certainly not a "racist remark..." Culturally Speaking, Senator Reid's choice of words to describe, then candidate Obama, in terms of his skin tone and dialect; speaks more of his age than his (GOP) assumed racist belief... TJMS fequently refers to African-Americans as "light skin vs dark skin..." This has been the conversation of the African-American community for centuries...
So lets see, instead of a "beer summit" how about the "School Daze" summit... I can see it now, Pres. Obama, Senator Reid, Senator Byrd, and a host of others having popcorn and soda as they view "School Daze" in the "white house theatre..."

How is it that the Reps are saying there was not a terrorist attack on Bush watch??? That proves that they are incapable to tell the truth when it comes to Pres. Obama...
They are constantly telling untruths and exaggerations of the facts from health care to terror...

Above all things, the leaders of our country must be ethical and call a "spade a spade..."

This week Pres. Obama, stood up and took responsibility for the security failures that lead to a near christmas day disaster... It was an honorable move but not one that should be repeated in the future... Either the people in leadership positions can do their jobs effectively or they should be fired and replaced with someone who can... "Skin lightner and a Harvard education" will not save the Pres.'s hide when an incompetent appointee drops the ball again... If they can't "toe the line" then they should be replaced... Enough said...

For the sake of debate, how is it that the Dutch allowed a would be bomber to get on a plane with out luggage and who paid for his ticket with cash and not search him thoroughly??? Do the Dutch have something to do with aiding the terrorist or do we as a nation have enemies in the camp??? The circumstances behind this terrorist attack or almost laughable if it were not so serious... No - one who has ever had anything to do with security could have stood still while this young man boarded an international flight... This is Pres. Obama's "Bay of Pigs..." How he handled the preps from this point forward will be the determining factor whether or not terrorist will continue to try to do us harm...
Here are some ideas how we should attack terrorism as a culture...
1-We should beef up our military to be able to bring overwhelming force to any and all nations who "harbor" terrorist...
2-We should put bounties on all known and suspected terrorist to encourage bounty hunters to hunt them down and turn them in ... Did I say, "Dead or a live???
3-We should declare war on Yemen and take their oil to fund it ...
4-We should run a US flag up in Iraq and take their oil as payment for all the war we have already levied there in "Bush's" name...
5-We should use dogs to find road-side bombs and send thousands in our kennels over to afghan and Iraq to do just that...
Last but not least, we should release thousands camels in Afghanistan and Yemen for the civilians to catch and eat... Full people don't wage war...
